We start with a good foundation

Hard at work?!

The long-awaited reveal.

Securing the base

Too bad I can't figure out how to scan this with straight lines!  Oh well. You get the idea.

Joe adds a few finishing touches with his welder's torch.

The finished product.

We wish to thank all who help with this project:  Bob Woodworth for his extensive research during the beginning stages on the project and Sharon Fink for picking up the baton at the next phase. Ned Maxson, Jonathan Hanover and Corey Young cleared the space of shrubbery so that the footer could be poured.  Jack Bigger, Tom Hanover, Jonathan Hanover,  Ned Maxson, Vic Maxson, Rick Seiter, and Patrick Balding met the freight truck and unloaded the 500+lb sign. Ralph Martin, Jack Bigger, Rick Seiter Tom Hanover and Jonathan Hanover helped Joe Riley place the sign on it's foundation. Joe Riley, our maintenance supervisor, dug, framed, and poured the footer, did some creative adaptations to the foundation, and was responsible for the removal of the other two signs.  And last, but certain not least, we want to thank all who contributed financially to this project. We couldn't have done it without your support!

What's this?! You just never know where one of those pesky birds is going to show up next!
