Busy: Getting to Know an Unhurried God

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. – Is 55:8

The days lengthen. Already full schedules become busier!  Spring sports.  Semester exams. Planting gardens.

Graduations.  Mother’s Day.  Memorial Day. Weddings.  Extra work due to co-workers’ vacations. What does it really cost us to be so  busy?

Join us this Eastertide as we get to know an unhurried God, and live into our identity as followers of the resurrected Christ.

Following the 10:30 AM New Traditions Worship Service, there will be a pancake luncheon fundraiser for the Nicaragua Mission Trip, as well as an opportunity to learn more about the trip and chat with members of the Leadership Board about various topics, including progress on sanctuary renewal initiatives, roles and functions of the Leadership Board, the upcoming pastoral transition and more. Join us for a time of good food and fellowship (also, feel free to bring a brown bag lunch, if you prefer).

One Church, 2 Worship Options

At First United Methodist, each Sunday morning worship experience offers a unique expression of faith.  At 9 a.m., the Heritage Worship service utilizes classic hymns and liturgies in the intimate setting of the Chapel.

At 10:30 a.m., the New Traditions Worship in the Sanctuary includes a breadth of song and liturgy, and the Chancel and other choirs. The same Scripture-based message will be provided at both services. Join us Sunday morning to worship!
